Abatement Technologies® CAP600-UVP Central Air Purifier
The CAP600-UVP is a high-performance central air purifier equipped with True HEPA filters capable of capturing at least 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. This includes contaminants commonly linked to asthma, allergies, and other respiratory sensitivities.
All models in the CAP600 and CAP1200 Series—designed for whole-house or office applications—feature a multi-stage filtration process. These systems include particle filtration and an activated carbon layer to reduce odors and select volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The top-tier CAP600-UVP model also incorporates germicidal UV “Plus” lamp technology to target bacteria and mold spores in the air stream or retained on the HEPA filter.
Advanced UV & Odor Control Technology
The CAP600-UVP includes a dual-frequency UV lamp that combines germicidal ultraviolet light with a controlled output of trivalent oxygen (ozone) through a process called photolysis. This enhances the unit’s effectiveness against persistent odors from mold, fungi, and tobacco smoke. The generated ozone helps break down odor-causing compounds and then rapidly decomposes within the HVAC ductwork.
